???s to ask yourself b4 following the "back to fitness" rush
I hope you've been having an awesome weekend so far!
It's fall - the time of year in the fitness industry when there's a big push on getting back to fitness.
But maybe you are bored to tears at the thoughts of going back to the gym or you're rolling your eyes at the whole "let's get back to fitness" campaigns rolling around in the media throughout September (and of course we'll see it yet again in November in the form of ads saying "get in shape before Christmas!").
Or maybe you've already done the whole gym thing and you are open to setting yourself a new and exciting fitness challenge?
Or, maybe you're more concerned with working some time into your busy schedule for doing something for YOU?
I firmly believe that in joining a fitness class you should have a greater goal than "I just want to get fit".
Firstly, ask yourself, what does being "fit" mean? Does it mean you can drop a dress size? Or that you'll have more energy throughout the day? Lower stress levels? Less neck/shoulder pain?
Secondly, what do you want to achieve internally? For example, do you want to gain more self confidence by stepping out of your comfort zone? Do you want to feel more connected to your body and more appreciative of the skin that you are in? Do you want to feel more joy by having more smiles, laughs and banter with other women like you?
Lastly, ask yourself, how will you feel when you achieve the external and internal goals you've set for yourself? What will you do with your new superpowers??
Hopefully this can help you when you are browsing "back to fitness activities" and deciding what is going to be next for you in your fitness journey!
If you think that might involve pole dancing, well I can certainly help you with that! I invite you to join our awesome community of inspired womxn who lift each other up with our Beginner Pole series for first-timers starting new on a weeknight or a weekend of every calendar month.
If you have always wanted to join a pole fitness class but you felt a bit scared or that you wouldn’t be able to do it, this is a great place to start. My team and I will help you to master the basics of pole and to get a new spin on fitness (yes, pun very much intended).
Sounds like your cup of tea? You can join one of the spaces in class here.
Not your cup of tea? Totally cool. But I do encourage you to give some thought to the questions I asked above to help you set some goals about your fitness before the end of the year! ;)
Make it a great week!
To your success,
Ruth
