This workshop is all about the X factor – the subtle details that turn a good routine into a standout performance. Designed for dancers preparing for the showcase, it focuses on refining what you already have so it looks more intentional, dynamic, and stage-ready. Dancers should bring a short sequence or section of their showcase piece that they feel comfortable running multiple times. This can be a trick combo, a dance sequence or something you learned in class. It does not have to be choreography for the showcase, (but it can be if you'd like feedback!) We’ll use your sequence as the base to work on: Dynamics: playing with levels and accents so your movement feels alive instead of flat. Performance quality: eye line, facial expression, and character to connect with your audience. Transitions and flow: smoothing out “choppy” moments so your routine looks cohesive and confident. You’ll leave with targeted notes, plus tools you can use to polish future routines and make your performance feel more powerful, personal, and unforgettable.
