Curious to try a new style? This class is perfect if you want to feel more confident in your heels, with a focus on working over the box and keeping most movement on demi‑pointe. We’ll kick things off with a chat about pole shoes: the different parts of the shoe, what it means to dance “over the box,” and how heel height can change the way you move. Then we’ll wake up your ankles and feet with simple conditioning drills (no shoes yet!) to build strength, control, and stability. After that, you’ll strap on your heels and work through targeted drills to help you move safely and smoothly over the box. We’ll finish with a short sequence of 3–4 movements so you can put everything together in a mini flow. You should be comfortable supporting your bodyweight with your upper body on the pole for safe descents to the floor. Required Gear: Pole/Exotic platform stilettos (no street heels) Minimum height: 6 inches Recommended height: 7 or 8 inches (the instructor will wear 8-inch heels). Lacrosse or tennis ball Recommended: Please bring a resistance band or theraband if you have a latex allergy. This is a level 2/2+ class and requires pole experience with basic grips. Extensive heels experience is not required.
