MasoKiss is excited to return to teach another Burlesque Group Choreo Series! Over the course of 8 weeks, she will teach the art of the tease, stage presence, and character development that culminate in an optional group performance in the April 1st Showcase. This class is open to new and returning students -- no experience required. Let the instructor know as soon as possible if you will just be joining to learn and will not be performing. Weeks 1 and 2 will focus on the basics of burlesque as well as discussion about the group performance itself and what costuming and props will potentially be used. For "The Garden of Eden" showcase, the following costume pieces will be required for all students (these are not needed in the first few weeks, and will be further discussed at week one to get a consensus of what the group is comfortable with): -Bra & Panty set, skin tone color, any style -Chiffon scarf (color TBD, links will be provided) -Chiffon skirt/pants (color TBD, links will be provided) -Heels (any style, clear or skin tone, try to stay clear of character shoes) -Performance pasties will be provided to each student by MasoKiss For all costume pieces, embellishing is welcome but not necessary. MasoKiss has a rhinestoning video resource for all students. Whether you are completely new to burlesque, have taken classes previously, or are a performer looking to work in a group setting, this class welcomes everyone! MasoKiss strives to have every student be able to express their individuality while working as a unit with the class.
